At the briefing, People's Deputy and member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Fedir Venislavskyi, said that the current pace of mobilization of conscripts in Ukraine satisfies the higher military leadership. All data on mobilization is a state secret, so specific figures are not disclosed.
Venislavsky noted that after the adoption of new legislative changes, the situation with mobilization began to meet the requirements of national security. President Volodymyr Zelenskyi also expressed satisfaction with the pace of mobilization, stressing that they meet the country's defense needs. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi added that the mobilization allows providing the Armed Forces with the necessary replenishment and reserves.
We will remind that in December 2023, Zelensky announced the need to mobilize an additional 450-500 thousand people. However, according to Syrskyi, already in March 2024, the need for such a large mobilization was reduced after a review of internal resources.
On May 18, 2024, a new law on mobilization came into force, according to which all conscripted men between the ages of 18 and 60 had to update their information by July 16, 2024. To facilitate this process, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine launched the Rezerv+ mobile application, which allows conscripts, conscripts and reservists to update their credentials online.
