The war does not know justice - it destroys it first. That is why it is pointless to talk about "just" mobilization, according to a serviceman and journalist Viktor Tregubov. In Ukraine, mobilization still remains quite liberal, but it also encounters not so much on the fear of death, as a deeper and more human - fear of change.
Among all arguments that accompany war and mobilization, the most strange is an appeal to justice.
The war is essentially unfair. The justice of it dies first. Especially in conditions when a multiple enemy attacked a peaceful country. Of course, we all had a little other plans for life, of course, Russian aggression crossed them out - but now there is no point in pouring over this tears. Now it makes sense to save Ukraine and Ukrainians.

And if someone told me that I would go to the army - I would have laughed for half an hour.

Civil mobilization is an unjust, unpleasant thing we would like to leave in the past. But throughout its history, humanity has never found another way to defeat a stronger opponent. That is why this happened everywhere, in any country in such a hardship, and we have methods of involving people in the army are not the most loyal. If we have not been able to leave the war in the center of Europe, we just have to resort to it.
And you know what? It works.
I had to communicate not with one and not two guys who did not want to go to the military enlistment office. They are fighting and know what? They fight well. Some already command small units. According to some vivid exceptions, fear passes somewhere in the intervals of the Criminal Code and BZVP.
Because, to be honest, it is not the fear of death or injury. If it were widespread among Ukrainians, no one would walk the streets during air alarm. It is one of the most secret human fears - fear of changing life circumstances. A person is afraid to get into an unusual environment where life goes by other rules, and his previous statuses and achievements remain "somewhere".
This is a normal fear, and there is no mentally healthy person who would not feel it. But, like any other, it must be able to notice. And be able to overcome when the circumstances require.
Because it is not only the country. You need it yourself. This is the victory over yourself that will stay with you forever, it is knowledge that has made the right choice. Even if you were brought to this choice.
