The youth hockey team of Ukraine achieved historic success by winning the World Championship in Division 1B. This victory earned the team the right to advance to Division 1A, where Ukrainian hockey players will be able to compete for entry into the elite of world hockey.
At the tournament held in Tallinn, Estonia, Andrii Sryubka's wards showed brilliant results, winning all five matches in regular time and scoring a maximum of 15 points.

- Ukraine – Japan: 7:2
- Ukraine – Estonia: 8:1
- Ukraine – Poland: 3:0
- Ukraine – Italy: 6:5
- Ukraine – South Korea: 5:2
Ukrainian hockey players returned to Division 1A for the first time in 13 years. The last time our team played in this division was in 2012.
The best scorers of the national team were the forwards who play in the Czech Republic:
- Hilarion Kupriyanov (HC "Dukla")
- Rodion Koida (HC "Paruba")
Both hockey players scored four goals each, significantly helping the team to achieve its goal.
In 2025, in Division 1A, the "blue-yellow" will have to face much stronger opponents:
- Austria
- Slovenia
- France
- Hungary
- The team that will be relegated from the elite division as a result of the WC-2025.
This success is an important step in the development of Ukrainian hockey, because the promotion in class allows to fight with more competitive opponents, gain experience and raise the level of the game.
