Over 160,000 cars were imported to Ukraine this year

In the first half of 2024, more than 160,000 cars were imported into Ukraine, which is 21% more than in the same period last year.

In 5 months of 2024, 160,750 vehicles were imported into Ukraine. This is 21% more than in the same period in 2023. Such statistics are provided by Opendatabot.

The most popular brand among all imported cars this year was VOLKSWAGEN — 18,771 cars or 11.7% of the total number. RENAULT was in second place with 13,187 vehicles (8.2%), and AUDI was in third place with 9,137 vehicles (5.7%).

Gasoline cars remain the most popular — they account for almost every second imported car. 29% of cars imported this year were diesel. Electric cars account for 12.9%.

72% of all imported cars this year were used. Currently, the average age of imported cars is 10 years.

The largest number of newly imported cars was registered in Kyiv — 13.9%. Lviv Oblast (10.2%) and Odesa Oblast (7.5%) also made it to the TOP-3.
