Sometimes military commissariats may not have information that a certain person has a disability. Therefore, men must notify the territorial personnel support center and the military commissariat of any changes in their personal data within seven days. Employees of these institutions can serve summonses to persons with disabilities, including for clarification of military registration data.
The main purpose of subpoenas to the territorial center of personnel support and the military commissariat is to update personal information. From time to time, such documents can be given to men with disabilities.
"If a man received a disability after being registered with the military commissariat or is not registered at the territorial personnel support center, they may not have information about his disability there," the message states.
Resolution No. 1487 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 30, 2022 states that in the event of a change in personal data, conscripted citizens must immediately notify the territorial center of personnel support within seven days. If men applied to the Military Commissariat in time, there would be fewer such cases.
The newspaper noted that a significant part of the work of the territorial human resources center consists in providing deferments to those who have grounds for this. Therefore, men must apply to the military commissariat and receive a deferral to simplify registration.
As for men with disabilities, according to the new draft law on mobilization, they are not subject to conscription for military service. Also, persons who have been recognized by the military medical commission as temporarily unfit for service for a period of six to 12 months will not be called up. At the end of this term, men must again undergo a military medical examination.
However, men with disabilities have the right to enter military service under a contract. In addition, the new draft law on mobilization proposes that military medical commissions no longer issue opinions on limited fitness for service, and that persons with limited fitness should undergo a review.
