Russia's offensive on Zaporozhye is possible

In the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, new forecasts regarding Russia's strategic goals cause concern. Recently, a high-ranking Ukrainian official expressed the opinion that the city of Zaporizhzhia, an important industrial center in southern Ukraine, could be Russia's next post.

The same source states that Russia has already regained up to half of the territory that Ukraine previously captured in the Kursk region.

Previously, the Russians advanced in a number of areas in the Zaporizhzhia region, but there were no large-scale actions there yet.

At the same time, as we have already written, the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions are of strategic importance for Ukraine's defense capability, much more so than Donbas, where the main hostilities are currently ongoing.
