In the Chernivtsi region, on April 19, a 19-year-old cadet of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National Academy of State Border Guard Service was found dead. The young man served in the position of Chernivtsi Border Detachment.
This was reported by the public with reference to the spokeswoman of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region Yulia Shevchenko.
According to preliminary data, at about 18:20 the cadet shot from the sheet weapons. The event happened during service. All circumstances are currently established.
"The investigation team is on the spot, criminals are involved, and the scene is being inspected," the prosecutor's office said.
Upon completion of the initial investigative actions, the issue of opening criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder) marked "suicide".
The pre -trial investigation is carried out by the district police department for procedural management of the Chernivtsi Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense.
The circumstances of the tragedy have not yet been disclosed. The prosecutor's office emphasizes that all versions will be checked as part of the investigation.
