In the Dnipropetrovsk region, law enforcement officers detained a 42-year-old man who is suspected of growing and selling narcotic substances. During the search of the suspect's place of residence, a significant amount of drugs and weapons were seized. The total value of seized cannabis is estimated at 25 million hryvnias.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, investigators sent an indictment to the court against a drug dealer, from whom 25 million hryvnias worth of drugs were seized during a search. This was reported by the National Police.
In the course of operational measures, law enforcement officers caught sight of a 42-year-old local resident who could be involved in the cultivation of hemp and the sale of marijuana.
The police searched the man's house. It turned out that in the apartment he equipped everything necessary for the processing of narcotics, installed ventilation, a plant chopper and a special dryer.
Law enforcement officers found plastic bags with crushed hemp with a total weight of 105 kg. Also, in one of the rooms, two grenades with fuses and 30 cartridges of 5.45 mm caliber were kept in the cover of the tent.
In addition, the law enforcement officers found a crop of hemp in the homestead, which the suspect carefully looked after: cultivated, watered and processed. In total, the police seized 206 plants.
In agreement with the Kamian district prosecutor's office, the man was informed of the suspicion of committing three criminal offenses:
- according to Part 3 of Art. 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues)
- Part 2 of Art. 310 (sowing or cultivation of hypnotic poppy or hemp)
- Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On September 11, the investigators referred the criminal proceedings with the indictment to the court.
