"On April 7, the enemy shelled the city center, hitting residential buildings - 4 people were injured. Kharkiv and the territory of the region were also fired with rockets. The target was our energy system. We are recovering in order to stabilize the electricity supply so that people at least have light in the evening, but according to the schedule," said the head of OVA. He added that there is no talk of a blackout yet, but there are only scheduled shutdowns due to a lack of electricity for the population. On average, the lights go out for 7 hours every day, mostly at night.
"Currently, more than 400 employees of the State Emergency Service and more than 200 energy workers are working to eliminate the consequences," Oleg Sinegubov informs.
According to him, currently more than 20 settlements of Kharkiv region are constantly on the targets of the Russian Armed Forces - Bogodukhivskyi, Vovchanskyi, Izyumskyi, Kupyanskyi districts and the city of Borova.
"We have just completed the evacuation of 18 settlements from the Kupyansk direction. The evacuation of 40 settlements from 4 communities has now been announced. We are considering the evacuation of the population to the north of the region. These are the Kharkiv and Bogoduhiv districts, the Zolochiv direction. According to our information and the police, there are no more children in the border settlements. We are monitoring it, and we may decide that even settlements that are far from the border, but are under fire, will be evacuated," said the head of the OVA.
