In the Kyiv region, the head of the inter-district medical and social expert commission, who is suspected of assisting citizens in evading conscription for military service during mobilization, was put on trial. This was reported by the police press service.
As operatives of the strategic investigations department in Kyiv region and investigators of the regional police found out, the official unjustly provided disability groups to men who sought to avoid the draft. He entered fictitious information about the disease into official documents, which served as the basis for the decision of the commission on granting disability. This, in turn, made it possible for conscripts to receive a deferment from mobilization and go abroad.
During the searches, the law enforcement officers seized more than 25,000 dollars, 1,600 euros and copies of medical documents from the head of the medical and social expert commission. In September, the official was informed of the suspicion of committing a crime.
Under the procedural guidance of the Bilotserki specialized prosecutor's office in the field of defense of the Central region, the indictment against the head of the inter-district MSEK has already been sent to court. It is expected that the case will cause a wide response, because schemes to evade mobilization are a serious crime in wartime conditions.
