In Odessa, a 20-year-old young man robbed almost 20 graves for scrap metal

In the village of the Lyubashiv community of Odessa region, police are investigating the abuse of graves - unknown were removing metal plates and elements of fences from the burials. In general, law enforcement officers recorded 19 facts of theft in the local cemetery.

After operative-search actions, the police managed to identify a person probably involved in the crime. He turned out to be a 20-year-old unemployed resident of a neighboring village, who explained that he was looking for metal products to hand over and earn.

Some of the stolen man has already been implemented, the rest - law enforcement officers found him at home. The seized items were attached to the materials of criminal proceedings as material evidence.

Investigators reported to the young man about suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - unlawful seizure of objects on the grave, committed repeatedly and for selfish reasons.

The sanction of this article provides for imprisonment for a term of 4 to 7 years.
