The Head of the State Consumer Service in Dnipropetrovsk was sentenced to a bribe of 20 thousand hryvnias

The system of consumer rights supervision once again failed. The head of one of the departments of the Regional State Consumer Service Konstantin Kusayev, instead of controlling legality, was on the dock. He was accused of demanding a bribe for "defending measures" on the well -known trade network "Beer Sea". He did not admit his guilt, but the court acknowledged another: 5 years in prison with the confiscation of property - this is the result of the official of the official.

It all started with a check on September 22, 2021. Then Kusayev, together with his colleague, recorded a violation of metrological requirements in the stores of "Beer Sea" and "Hop Hei" - the enterprise used scales that did not pass the verification. Although the violations were promptly eliminated, a second complaint was received within three months. It was she who became the point of entry into a corruption history.

On December 30, 2021, the official sends a photo complaint via Telegram to the company representative, hinting at the opportunity to avoid re -verification. The price of the question is 54 thousand hryvnias, however, it is later reduced to 20. And in January 2022, the money was transferred in the car - under the control of law enforcement and with numbered notes.

Kusayev himself claimed that he did not demand anything, but only wanted to "agree on the date of verification". And the money, they say, got suddenly and accidentally. But the court considered these explanations manipulative. The key role in the case was played by the lawyer of the company, who confirmed the fact of solicitation and transfer of the bribe itself. It was after his appeal to law enforcement officers that the transfer under the control of the USSU was organized.

The court found the official guilty of bribery, sentenced to five years in prison, forbidding the occupation of positions at the civil service for three years and confiscation of property. This decision was a regular signal: even small amounts of bribes, especially in areas where it is an impact on business, can cost freedom.

This case is another example of how the service position turns into a tool of pressure and trading for "peace". And at the same time, another confirmation is that systemic corruption often starts with small "arrangements".
