On March 15, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision regarding the location of the National Military Memorial Cemetery in the Gatna Rural Territorial Community of Fastiv District, Kyiv Region. This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
The NVMK will be located on two sites, as stated during the meeting by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal (the video was published on his Facebook page).
"The creation of such a cemetery is of great importance for our country and is always in the center of attention of our government. We must always remember those who sacrificed their lives for Ukraine in the war for our freedom and independence," the Prime Minister emphasized.
The Ministry of Veterans recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers had already adopted a resolution in which the procedure for the implementation of the experimental project with the NVMK was determined.
The term of this resolution was limited to July 30, 2025. Thus, on March 15, the Cabinet of Ministers finally determined the location of NVMK, as noted in the Ministry.
"In the near future, a decision should be made regarding the transfer of more than 265 hectares to the ownership of the state institution "National Military Memorial Cemetery." This will practically start the process of building the first phase of the cemetery. "Preparatory work on the removal of green vegetation will soon begin on the territory of the NVMK," the Ministry of Veterans said.
