People's deputy Volodymyr Vyatrovych expressed his criticism regarding restrictions in consular services for Ukrainians staying abroad. In his statement, he noted that such restrictions only push Ukraine closer to Russia.
Vyatrovych said that "only Russia" will benefit from this.
"Only our enemy can benefit from a split between Ukrainians along any lines, and restrictions on the rights of part of Ukrainian citizens, and a decrease in the level of international support for Ukraine, and a demographic catastrophe that perfectly fits into their plans to destroy Ukrainians as a nation," writes V. Yatrovych
He calls Kuleba's decision "arbitrary." And he notes that no law, in particular the new law on mobilization, prohibits citizens from obtaining passports abroad. And military registration of citizens abroad "is not and has never been conducted" by law.
Vyatrovych is sure that no one will go to serve in the army under such pressure. On the contrary, it will break off contacts with the homeland, which will intensify the already existing "demographic catastrophe"
"The state's refusal to issue passports or provide consular services to its own citizens is an affront to democracy and human rights. Even Russia does not do this. This is a direct path to the deterioration of the attitude towards our state in the West, and therefore to a decrease in the level of support, on which our survival critically depends," writes the People's Deputy.
