Strokes on the Kremenchug refinery that have been taking place over the last month have an ambiguous impact on the Ukrainian fuel market. Although the plant itself has not been working at full capacity for a long time, experts still indicate certain consequences.
According to Gennady Ryabtsev, the head of the special projects of the NTC "Psykhaya", these attacks will not have a significant impact on the situation in the market. It reminds that since the beginning of a full -scale invasion, the enterprise has been regularly attacked, the main technological facilities have long been stopped, and the small production has recently been a "bonus" for the market, not its support.
However, some market players have a different opinion. They emphasize that Kremenchuk fuel was actively sold at Ukrnafta gas station, which allowed to keep relatively low prices. After massive Russian shelling on the night of June 15, prices began to rise. If on June 14, the A-95 gasoline cost 54.49 UAH, then on June 16-58.49 UAH. The diesel went up from 50.99 to 51.49 UAH, and as of July 1, the price reached 55.99 UAH.
The rise in prices is not only due to the limitation of the Kremenchug Refinery. Additional factors are the global rise in oil prices and an increase in the euro, which affects import deliveries.
Nevertheless, the Kremenchug plant was an important supplier for the state sector - it provided 50-60 thousand tons of fuel on a monthly basis. Therefore, temporary stopping of his work can create a deficit in this segment. Particularly affected by regional gas stations, including in the Poltava region, which traditionally purchased the Kremenchug fuel.
In addition, after attacks, the plant stopped sales of liquefied gas. For the last time he was exhibited on the exchange on June 11 - immediately after that the trade stopped.
Thus, even the limited production of the Kremenchug refinery played an important role in the stability of individual market segments. Its stop increased the load on import and contributed to the rise in prices for all types of fuel.
