The National Cashback program in Ukraine, which launched on September 2, has already shown impressive results during beta testing. According to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko , Ukrainians have issued over 2 million cards to participate in the program, and 1.1 million people are already receiving cashback through the Diya application. The total amount of accrued funds has reached UAH 73.2 million .
Participation of manufacturers and retailers
To date, 1,300 manufacturers 260,000 products in the program 610 retailers and 11 banks have participated in the program , indicating significant interest from business.
Yulia Svyrydenko also emphasized that after the completion of beta testing, the ministry decided to launch a national advertising campaign to promote the “National Cashback.” “Today we are launching the “National Cashback” in a full-fledged format,” she noted at the “Made in Ukraine” forum.
How does the program work?
Funds accrued for the purchase of Ukrainian-made goods are reflected in the “Diya” application the next day. Consumers can easily find out which products participate in the program thanks to the new product scanner implemented in “Diya”.
The first cashback payment is scheduled for October 20. According to the terms of the program, Ukrainians can receive compensation in the amount of 10% of the cost of purchased goods, with a maximum cashback of UAH 3,000 per month . These funds can be spent on various services, including medical and communal services, sports, cinema, as well as on supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine or purchasing military bonds.
Program history
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for providing “National Cashback” on August 20. Registration for manufacturers started on August 24, for retail chains on August 28, and for consumers on September 2. This project is designed to support Ukrainian manufacturers and help consumers in difficult times.
