In Lviv region, law enforcement officers exposed a 46-year-old resident of Yavoriv district, who organized a scheme of illegal crossing of men of conscript age across the border outside the official checkpoints.
He was detained during an attempt to illegally transport two residents of the Kiev region to Poland. As reported in the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard, Dilok was looking for customers through personal ties and acquaintances.
On the day of detention, he met customers in Lviv, where they waited for a few hours in the car until it was dark. Further, a man who is well aware of the terrain, bypassing the control posts of field roads, led the evaders to the border area. About a kilometer to the border, he planted passengers and pointed to them a direction for further movement.
However, the plan failed - law enforcement officers detained both the organizer and potential "tourists".
The resident of Yavoriv region was informed about suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal crossing of persons across the state border. The sanction provides from 5 to 7 years in prison with or without property confiscation. In the near future, the court will choose a measure of restraint.
