The Nestlé company announced the opening of a new factory in Ukraine, which will be located in Smoligov, Volyn. This new production capacity will be part of the hub for the production of culinary products and will be focused on the production of products, including for export to the European Union. Investments in the new plant amount to $45 million.
The opening of the factory is planned for the fourth quarter of this year, and a number of important construction works have already been completed. In particular, a solar power plant with a capacity of 500 kW was installed, with a further plan to increase its capacity to 1200 kW. This will help increase energy efficiency and reduce the impact on the environment.
At the moment, the recruitment of employees for the new factory is underway: the company has already hired more than 100 employees and opened the same number of vacancies, which indicates the active development of the project and the creation of new jobs.
It should be noted that Nestlé continues its activities on the Russian market, although it has suspended the export and import of certain products to Russia, as well as canceled investments in production in Russia. This decision is in line with the company's strategy to adjust its activities in the changing market environment and political situation.
