PrivatBank has updated its rules for international transfers, strengthening control over transactions in accordance with martial law requirements and international financial regulations. The changes are aimed at increasing financial security and minimizing risks for customers.
From 2026, it is prohibited to make transfers to aggressor countries, states under international sanctions, as well as to the territory of unrecognized entities or regions with an increased level of risk. The bank emphasizes that such restrictions were introduced to comply with international standards and regulatory requirements.
For other destinations, international transfers remain available, however standard financial monitoring procedures apply. In some cases, transactions may be declined due to internal restrictions or policies of foreign receiving banks.
The monthly limit for transfers to foreign bank cards remains at the equivalent of 100 thousand hryvnias. The system automatically determines the compliance of the limit with the current exchange rate, regardless of the payment currency.
The bank recommends checking the current requirements of the destination country before making a transfer, as regulatory rules may change. Customers are also advised to consider possible additional requirements of partner banks abroad.
PrivatBank emphasizes that compliance with established rules for international transfers is a necessary condition for safe financial transactions in difficult geopolitical conditions.
