The Peremyshlyansky District Court of Lviv Region found an orthopedic traumatologist of the Peremyshlyansky Central Military Hospital, who was a member of the non-staff military medical commission, guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - receiving undue advantage by using official position.
According to the case materials, on August 19, 2025, at about 11:00 a.m., in the premises of the medical institution, the doctor received 300 US dollars (12,377.67 UAH at the NBU exchange rate) through an intermediary for drawing up knowingly false medical documents. These documents were supposed to ensure the establishment of a VLK of limited fitness or unfitness for military service.
The accused fully admitted his guilt and sincerely repented, which became a mitigating circumstance during the trial.
The court imposed a fine of UAH 25,500 and deprivation of the right to hold positions in military medical commissions for a period of 2 years. The bribe amount was returned to the person who gave it, and the mobile phone and other funds remained with the accused. The arrest of the property was canceled.
The decision can be appealed to the Lviv Court of Appeal within 30 days.
