Germany fulfilled only 6.5% of its obligations to supply armored vehicles to Ukraine — Bild

Germany supplied Ukraine with only 6.5% of the promised armored vehicles, reports the German newspaper Bild , citing sources in the government. This figure became the subject of discussions both in the German political community and among the allies, who expect a more active role from Berlin in military support for Ukraine.

We are talking about MRAP heavy wheeled armored vehicles, of which Kyiv received 26 pieces - out of the promised 400 by the end of the year.

The German Ministry of Defense plans to deliver the remaining vehicles next year. The German government allocated 315 million euros for their production.

The reason for the delay in deliveries is "late US approval for the export of automotive components", as well as undisclosed problems at the German manufacturer - Flensburger Fahrzeugbau.
