Norway will refuse asylum to refugees from Western Ukraine

Norway has decided not to grant asylum to refugees from Western Ukraine, as this territory is currently not a zone of active hostilities. This was stated by the Minister of Justice of Norway, Emilia Enger Mel, according to the official website of the country's government.

According to the decision, Lviv, Volyn, Ternopil, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathian regions are considered safe for return.

As the minister notes, every tenth Ukrainian who will come to Norway in 2024 will be from them.

The decision does not apply to Ukrainians who have already received protection in Norway.
