The appointment of Sophia Dunaevskaya to the post of head of the Holosiivskyi District State Administration caused a flurry of criticism among public activists and journalists. According to Blogger Volodymyr Bondarenko, Dunaevskaya was directly involved in one of the most loudest corruption cases of recent years - the equipment around "Ukrbud", where Oleg Tatarov, Andriy Yakusevich, Maxim Nikitas and Konstantin Mayboroda.
Bondarenko claims that it was Sofia Dunaevskaya who participated in the process of "rewriting" of the developer company "Ukrbud Development" from the British firm "Bazert Developments LLP", which was controlled by Nikitas, to structures related to Tatarov people. It was through these manipulations that Ukrbud's property has been controlled by bank persons, which allowed to "clean" traces of equipment with apartments for the National Guard.
Moreover, according to Bondarenko, Dunaevskaya personally influenced the slowdown in the investigation in the case of NABU-SAP №52020000000000235 of April 7, 2020. It is a matter where the transfer of undue benefits for changing the contracts between Ukrbud and the National Guard for the benefit of the developer is recorded.
At the most critical moment when NABU detectives came to the persons from the Presidential Office, then Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova actually saved the case from a public scandal-withdrawing it from the NABU jurisdiction and transferring to the SBU. According to investigators, this allowed to "bury" the investigation. It was then, according to Bondarenko, that Sofia Dunaevskaya played a key role in the braking of the process.
The appointment of Danube looks even more controversial in view of its connections with Andrei Portnov's environment - the former deputy head of the Yanukovych administration, who is now unofficially considered an influential curator of part of security officers and judges. According to sources, it was the "Portnova group" that lobbied her return to the offices.
