The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine made changes to the procedure for determining fitness for military service. The new order contains specific criteria that take into account the state of health and the possibility of military service depending on the characteristics of the disease.
How this will happen can be seen on the example of tuberculosis. Thus, those who are in the active stage of the disease with the release of bacteria and decay of lung tissue are completely removed from military registration.
If the bacteria are not released, and the tissue does not disintegrate, then you will need to come to the medical board again in six months.
People who have clinically cured tuberculosis can serve in TCC and support units. If the conscript has "residual symptoms" after cured tuberculosis, then he is completely fit.
The situation regarding HIV is more interesting. Only those in whom it progresses are considered unfit. The rest of the carriers of the virus can either serve in the rear units and TCC, or, in the case of asymptomatic carriers, at the front.
Cancer patients will be removed from the register only if they are inoperable and have metastases. The same is true if the tumor progresses rapidly.
Those who have operated on a primary tumor or whose tumor is "slowly progressing" can be sent to serve in the rear. The same is true if they have skin or lower lip cancer.
And those whose cancer is in the stage of stable remission are recognized as completely suitable.
People with mild mental disorders can be called to serve in the rear (if at the same time "with a chance of recovery" - they are considered completely suitable), with addiction syndromes, behavioral disorders with rare attacks of affect. People with mild mental retardation can also be sent to the TCC and the rear.
Another interesting point is that pregnant women and women who have given birth are considered fit for service if the pregnancy and postpartum period passed without complications. Complications give the right to leave or dismissal.
