According to our source in the Office of the President, new Patriot systems will be delivered to Ukraine to protect military airfields where F-16 aircraft will be based. All personnel for the maintenance of these aircraft and air defense will be trained by NATO instructors in order to streamline the entire process.
Germany will transfer Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, but it will take about two months before they arrive. According to the analysis, this term is optimal.
According to The New York Times, citing its military sources, on May 6, 70 Ukrainian soldiers will begin training at a military base in eastern Germany. The Patriot management training course will last six weeks, although it normally lasts six to nine months. However, this term was shortened for the Armed Forces. The equipment will be delivered to Ukraine after graduation.
NYT journalists believe that the Patriot may arrive in Ukraine no earlier than the end of June, and this may coincide with the delivery of F-16 aircraft. Delivery of these aircraft, which Ukraine has requested almost since the beginning of the war in February 2022, is expected only this summer, initially in small quantities.
