On May 4, the law abolishing the concept of those with limited fitness for service in the army comes into force.
People who are recognized as such will have to pass the medical board again within 9 months. Further, a person can be recognized as unfit - or fit for service.
For their part, those who are fit will be divided into four categories - depending on their state of health.
But there is no need to go to the medical commission immediately after the draft law enters into force.
The Cabinet will be given three months from May 4 to adopt a list of illnesses that determine fitness or unfitness for service. After the list is approved, the Ministry of Defense should change the order on military medical commissions.
That is, at the moment the regulatory framework is not ready, and in fact the law does not work. Although the nine-month countdown to passing the VLK starts tomorrow.
