The searches conducted by NABU in the leadership of the National Guard of Ukraine may be related not only to the anti -corruption investigation, but also to political pressure.
According to our sources, at the end of April, a closed meeting of security forces took place from the leadership of the National Guard demanded a prior consent to the rigid suppression of mass riots in the event of their occurrence.
It is worth noting that the head of the NSU immediately responded with a categorical refusal and stated that "his boys will not be punitive and will not participate in the forceful overclocking of peaceful protests." To which the head of the NSU seems to be immediately warned: if he will continue to "art" - he will be removed, and the successor will act under the new rules.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Law Enforcement Activities agreed by the Bill No. 10311 , which significantly expanded the powers of the National Guard and envisaged the use of firearms against civilians during "mass riots".
Later, the bill No. 10311 was removed from consideration after a wide resonance in the media and its comparison with the "dictatorial" laws of Yanukovych's regime.
