At a briefing on March 27, the president of the Renew Europe group, Valery Aye, announced that the European faction invites the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to participate in their summits, as well as to partially involve the deputies of the Servant of the People party in the work of the group.
Renew Europe offers the deputies of "Servants of the People" to participate in the parliamentary meetings of the group, and President Zelensky to join the summits of the leaders of the member countries of the group, in particular France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Estonia, Slovenia and Bulgaria.
In addition, the group offers to provide "Servant of the People" with expert assistance to prepare Ukraine for negotiations on joining the European Union.
"We believe that "Servant of the People" will become even closer to our parliament and the Renew family," Valery Aye emphasized after meeting with Ruslan Stefanchuk in Kyiv.
Representatives of the European Union indicated that the initiative of the European Parliament group is a way of cooperation with Ukraine before more concrete steps can be taken in the process of its accession to the EU.
"We should not wait for official observer status to seriously start working together," Aye added.
