A scheme for forging medical certificates for the military was exposed in Bukovina

Law enforcement officers in Chernivtsi region have uncovered an illegal scheme in which military personnel were provided with fake medical documents to avoid service.

According to the regional prosecutor's office, the organizer was a resident of Lviv region. He promised to help servicemen who had voluntarily left the unit (SZCh) to avoid responsibility. To do this, he established contacts with medical workers and offered them to influence diagnoses.

The attacker demanded 16,000 euros for the package of documents. The fake certificates were supposed to explain the voluntary desertion as unintentional and provide for exemption from military service due to health reasons.

A man was detained near Chernivtsi while receiving an illegal benefit. He has already been notified of the suspicion.

A pre-trial investigation is currently underway, and other individuals who may have been involved in the criminal scheme are being identified.
