In 11 months of 2025, 24,261 couples registered their marriage remotely using the "Marriage Online" service, which the Ministry of Justice implements jointly with the Ministry of Digital Transformation. This was reported by the "Law and Business" publication, citing the Ministry of Justice.
This digital tool continues to demonstrate rapid growth in popularity, offering citizens the opportunity to get married quickly, remotely, and without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures.
The leader in the number of registered video marriages has traditionally been the Digital Office of the Kyiv City Civil Registry Office - 18,079 online marriages have already been registered here during the year.
No less impressive dynamics were shown by two new digital DRACs, which only became operational in the fall:
Dnipro — 4,145 online marriages;
Lviv — 2,037 online marriages.
The "Marriage Online" service allows you to submit an application through the "Diya" application, choose a convenient date and time for the ceremony, and conduct it in a video conference format with the state registrar. The paper certificate is sent by "Ukrposhta", and the electronic one appears in "Diya" within 24 hours.
A separate quick procedure is provided for military personnel: identification takes place through the "Army+" application, after which male and female defenders can quickly register their marriage in "Diya".
