In 2025, apartment rentals in Ukraine continue to grow, despite a decline in interest in buying housing. According to the State Statistics Service, the average cost of renting a one-room apartment in May was UAH 7,504 per month. This is UAH 58 more than in March (UAH 7,446), and in the first five months of the year, rents increased by 3.9%.
The highest prices are traditionally held in the western regions:
-
Transcarpathian region — 11,956 UAH (+1.6%);
-
Lviv region — 10,833 UAH (+4.7%);
-
Rivne region — 10,289 UAH (+4.0%);
-
Kyiv — 9,777 UAH (+1.5%);
-
Khmelnytskyi region — 9,591 UAH;

In Lviv, where the rental market is actively growing, new housing formats are emerging, including club houses. For example, the Harry project from developer RIEL offers intimacy, a private garden, and a quiet location — trends that meet the expectations of a new urban audience.
It is interesting to note that the record price increase occurred in the east and south of Ukraine. In Sumy region, rents increased by 14.6%, in Poltava region - by 12.1%, in Kherson region - by 10.7%, in Zhytomyr region - by 8.3%, and in Vinnytsia region - by 7.6%.
On the other hand, Kirovohrad region is the only region where the cost of rent decreased: minus 2.6%, to UAH 6,204.
The cheapest apartments can be found in:

Kherson region — 3,243 UAH;
-
Zaporizhzhia — 3,684 UAH;

Mykolaivska — 3,949 UAH;

Against the backdrop of a general increase in rent prices, consumer inflation also accelerated to 1.3% in May, indicating an increase in the overall burden on Ukrainians' wallets.
