Three men in Chernihiv organized a scheme for the seizure of real estate of dead citizens, representing false persons as their heirs. This was reported by the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, the attackers operated from January 2019 to October 2023. They used counterfeit documents, making an inheritance on persons who were allegedly children of dead apartment owners. The hereditary property was not legally issued, so the attackers accompanied the "heirs" at all stages of obtaining legal documents.
After receiving ownership, real estate was sold to good -fled buyers, thus legalizing the property obtained by criminal means.
It is known about three cases of illegal seizure of apartments for which fraudsters received about 2 million UAH. Currently, their involvement in other similar episodes in Chernihiv is being checked.
Two members of the group have already been detained. At the request of the prosecutor's office, they chose a pre -trial detention measure.
