"Oschadbank" has started providing a multimillion-dollar loan for the reconstruction of one of the processing enterprises destroyed by Russia. According to the bank's press center, the amount of the loan is 360 million hryvnias, and it was received by an unnamed company that is a leading exporter and leader in the production of food products in Ukraine.
The name of the borrower remains confidential for security reasons, but it is known that obtaining the loan became possible thanks to the use of the state program "Affordable loans 5-7-9%" and the state guarantee program. Yuriy Katsion, deputy chairman of the board of Oschadbank, said that several financial products were used simultaneously to reduce the cost of the investments involved in the enterprise.
It is interesting that the borrower has no collateral due to completely destroyed production facilities. According to Katsion, this approach becomes key in this project, especially given the lack of collateral due to the destruction of production facilities.
It is expected that thanks to the received loan, the enterprise will resume production at the expense of working capital and the efforts of the company. The aim is to return to the pre-war levels of production volumes, which had a significant market share in Europe and the world before the start of the war.
Lending at Oschadbank during the war: a new stage in the support of the processing sector
The press service of Oschadbank reports on the provision of a second giant loan for the processing sector in the amount of 360 million hryvnias. This initiative was a continuation of the bank's support to the industry, as at the end of last year a credit agreement was concluded for the reconstruction of the plant for advanced processing of soybeans and the production of soy protein concentrate with Astarta, which was estimated at 60 million dollars.
Other financial news includes an initiative by the state-owned Privatbank, which plans to sell its customers' bad loans worth more than half a billion hryvnias through electronic auctions.
Also, according to the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, in 2024, 877.5 million hryvnias were allocated to the program of preferential housing loans for internally displaced persons. During the implementation of the program, 650 loans were granted for a total amount of 902.3 million hryvnias.
