Even the latest spy programs are not completely invisible - they leave digital traces. Cybersecurity experts warn that there are five major symptoms that may indicate that your smartphone is under the control of malefactors.
1. The battery is rapidly discharged
If you used the phone before you recharged, and now the charge disappears within a few hours - this is a serious cause for concern. The spyware works in the background, transmitting large amounts of data, which leads to excessive energy consumption.
2. The smartphone is heated for no reason
At rest, the phone should remain cool. If it is heated even when you do not use it, it can indicate background activity of foreign software - in particular, spy applications.
3. Increasing consumption of Internet traffic
Check the network settings and look for data use statistics. If you see a sharp growth - probably on your device there is a program that transmits text messages, photos or sound to third parties.
4. Strange SMS or pop -up messages
Suspicious short SMS with incomprehensible symbols that appear and disappear themselves - a typical sign that hidden spyware can work on your phone.
5. Unjustified activity at night
The screen itself turns on, the phone "comes to life" without your intervention, and during calls to hear extraneous sounds? This can be a signal that the attackers activated the microphone or camera.
If you find at least one of these signs, do not delay. Immediately check the device with an antivirus program, update the system to the latest version and use only proven security applications.
