In early spring, Ukrainian pensioners are expecting traditional indexation of pension payments. If there is no change in the legislation, pensions should be raised on March 1, 2025.
Who will receive the allowance?
All types of pensions will be indexed - by age, disability, years of service, as well as special payments for military and civil servants. The final decision on the interest is made by the Government in February.
How much will pensions increase?
According to lawyer Ivan Khomich, last year the pensions increased by 7.96%, in 2023-by 19.7%. In 2025, the expected growth can be about 10%.
However, the limit should be taken into account: even if the calculated allowance exceeds UAH 1,500, the pensioner will still receive no more than this amount. The minimum increase is traditionally 100 UAH.
Minimum pension and “gate”
The state provides pensioners with a payment of at least UAH 2 361, which corresponds to the subsistence minimum. If the pension is lower, the state adds the required amount.
Thus, pensioners may expect to increase payments since March, but accurate figures will be known after the relevant government decree.
