The petition to deprive Tyshchenko of his deputy's mandate gained almost half of the signatures in just one day

The Ukrainian political scene is again under the influence of the scandal related to the People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tyschenko. A petition calling for his removal for abuse of office has gained significant support despite its short existence.

As you know, the petition appeared on the website of the Verkhovna Rada after Tyshchenko got into yet another scandal. This time because of the case of an attack by persons in camouflage uniforms on a former military man in the center of the Dnipro.

Scandal with Tyschenko. The petition to deprive him of his mandate has already gained half of the necessary votes

At present, suspicion has already been declared for the fact of illegal deprivation of liberty of the victimized people's deputy, prosecutors will ask for house arrest for Tyshchenko.

The reaction of the OP and the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, commented on the attack on a former soldier in Dnipro during a telethon and noted that all those involved should be punished. And to the TV presenter's question that the bodyguards of People's Deputy Tyshchenko could be the attackers, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said: "It doesn't matter what kind of people these are. Every citizen must answer to the law."

Klymenko also reported that two criminal proceedings were opened for this fact: infliction of minor injuries and illegal deprivation of liberty.

The head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, who is Tyshchenko's best man, also reacted to the conflict, noting that the behavior of the people's deputy is absolutely shameful.

"I watched the video recording of the conflict between People's Deputy Tyshchenko and the military. There is nothing to talk about here. The behavior of the people's deputy is absolutely disgraceful. She has no excuses. Law enforcement agencies definitely have something to react to. Yes, I have known Tyshchenko for a long time. Indeed, he baptized his son. But that was many years ago. For a long time, I no longer accept his actions and do not understand them. Therefore, I do not maintain any relationship with him," Yermak wrote in his Telegram channel .

He added that "this behavior of Tyshchenko is incompatible with the status of a people's deputy."

Searches of Tyshchenko and suspicion

Already this morning, on June 25, Tyshchenko was searched, during which the SBI announced that he was suspected of unlawfully depriving the victim of his freedom (Part 2, Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of five to ten years.

The version of the investigation is as follows: on June 20, 2024, in Dnipro, a group of people, on the instructions of a People's Deputy of Ukraine, unlawfully deprived the victim, a former serviceman of the Armed Forces, of his liberty. He was detained for some time and physically injured. The investigation established that this was done with a prior conspiracy by a group of persons and with the use of physical force and special means.

In the meantime, the Office of the Prosecutor General informed that they will petition for the election of the people's deputy for a precautionary measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest.
