This week, Ukrainians are promised calmer autumn weather. After a stormy start to the week with strong winds and precipitation, forecasters are predicting a more stable atmosphere under the influence of an anticyclone.
Nataliya Ptuha, spokeswoman of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, reported this in response to a question about the weather conditions for the current week. According to her, bad weather was observed on the territory of Ukraine on Monday: the northeastern cyclone brought gusty wind, precipitation, and in some areas even wet snow. The cyclone, located over the territory of Russia, affected Ukrainian regions with atmospheric fronts, causing short-term unfavorable conditions.
Starting today, an anticyclone is starting to affect the weather from the west of Ukraine, which will ensure dry conditions without precipitation in most regions. In the eastern and northeastern regions, there will be some wet snow, but the general nature of the weather will become calmer.
Temperatures are expected to drop to -5°C at night in some regions. In particular, indicators are forecast from +2°С to -5°С at night, while during the day the temperature will fluctuate between +3°С and +8°С. It will be slightly cooler in the eastern regions, where the daytime values will range from 0°С to +5°С due to increased cloudiness. In the south and southwest, +8°С...+13°С is expected during the day.
The bird notes that no significant cooling is expected at the moment. By the end of the week, the temperature will rise slightly, and daytime highs, for example, in Kyiv, may reach +9°С.
Earlier, forecaster Natalka Didenko reported that on November 5, the northwest wind will subside, and only in the east will gusts of up to 15-20 m/s be observed. Night frosts at the level of -4...+1°С are expected, and during the day the temperature will rise to +4...+8°С, although it will remain cool with +1...+4°С in the east.
