The Kyiv Independent newspaper recorded the beginning of a tense situation in the city of Chasiv Yar, which is considered the gateway to the agglomeration of four cities in eastern Ukraine - from Kostyantynivka in the south to Sloviansk in the north, through Druzhkivka and Kramatorsk.
However, given the fact that Ukrainian servicemen are on the front line without rotation, as well as the delay in preparing fortified defensive lines in the Donetsk region, it remains unclear to what extent Kyiv's forces are capable of organizing a reliable defense, even under more favorable conditions.
After all, units are overburdened and understaffed, and infantry often fights for so long without rotation that its combat effectiveness begins to decline.
The saturation of the front with drones has not only changed the nature of the injuries received, but also, more importantly, made the evacuation of the wounded from zero positions more difficult and dangerous. “90% of the wounded become targets of either FPV or munitions dropped from drones,” medics say.
In conditions of limited manpower, losses in one area often jeopardize the defense of another.
The fighters say they want peace, "people are tired, they want to return to their families, to a normal life.".
