From October 1, 2024, a significant increase in Internet tariffs is planned in Ukraine, which may negatively affect users. According to forecasts, tariffs will rise by at least 50 hryvnias. This is due to the transition to a new general taxation system that applies to Internet service providers.
This is reported by Today.ua with reference to participants in the market of communication services.
"And if they will provide their services, then for completely different money. This will lead to the fact that people will pay for the Internet conditionally 300 hryvnias per month, and somewhere in remote areas - 1,300 or more," she added.
It is also noted that there is competition between small companies in Ukraine, which provides customers with reasonable prices and a high level of service.
"A market devoid of competition will inevitably lose the quality of services and prices will rise," said IT-KARKAS representative Roman Perun.
Oleg Kiper, the head of Odesa OVA, for his part, suggested to providers to create a working group to systematize their proposals in order to have a clear plan of action.
"This is an all-Ukrainian phenomenon, so Odesa cannot change anything autonomously, and it is necessary to contact the State Fiscal Service," he said.
We will remind you that in order to minimize threats to national security, the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center decided to prohibit the installation and use of Telegram on the official devices of state government employees, military personnel, employees of the security and defense sector, as well as companies operating critical infrastructure.
