Ukrainian government officials and military analysts warn that Russia is preparing for a new full -scale offensive on the front, which can begin in the next weeks. About it writes AP agency with reference to sources in the Ukrainian authorities.
According to them, the Kremlin seeks to use the military pressure as a lever to strengthen its positions in the possible negotiations on ceasefire. It is planned to attack several sections of the front with a total length of about 1000 km.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, referring to the data of Ukrainian intelligence, said that the enemy concentrates forces in the northeast - in Sumy, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya regions. It is these regions that, according to the Head of State, can become the following goals of the Russian invasion.
In recent weeks, there has been a noticeable increase in hostile attacks and attempts to break down the deflection of the Armed Forces. Military commanders claim that the Russian Federation seeks to improve the tactical situation on the eve of larger actions.
The Ukrainian military analyst Alexei Hetman reported that the Kremlin is counting on a multi -year offensive campaign: "They prepare offensive actions that should last from six to nine months, in fact all 2025."
Such intentions may indicate that Russia is trying to impose its own rhythm of war to Ukraine and its Western allies - with the next wave of bloodshed to plant Kiev at the negotiating table in the worst conditions for it.
Official Kiev, instead, has repeatedly emphasized that no negotiations could be conducted from the position of force, and Ukraine will not agree to the capitulation scenarios.
