Poland has changed entry rules for Ukrainians

New rules regarding financial guarantees will apply to Ukrainians planning trips to Poland from August 2025. From now on, travelers must prove that they have funds for their stay and return home.

How much money do you need?

  • If the trip lasts up to 4 days, you must have at least 300 PLN for the entire period.

  • If you stay longer, you should expect at least PLN 75 per day.

If the traveler does not have a return ticket, he is required to show funds to purchase it. The minimum amounts depend on the direction:

  • 200 PLN - for neighboring countries (Ukraine, Lithuania, Slovakia, etc.);

  • PLN 500 - for other EU countries;

  • PLN 2,500 - for countries outside the European Union.

Verification of financial documents and funds is mandatory at the border. If the requirements are not met, border guards may refuse entry. Polish authorities have also warned that if social benefits are found to be improperly received, they may be terminated.

The new rules apply to all Ukrainian travelers and migrants planning to enter the territory of Poland.
