The head of the investigation sector of the National Police Department in Sumy region, Ihor Kozachynsky, continues to demonstrate a high level of material well-being, which is difficult to explain only by the official salary of a law enforcement officer. According to the latest declaration, the official purchased a new car — FCB Leopard 3 (2025 model year) for over 1.08 million hryvnias.
Kozachinsky already owns a 2012 Volkswagen Touareg, purchased in 2021 for 540 thousand hryvnias, and a Geon Dakar GNS 300 motorcycle (2022), purchased in 2023. His wife Anna also has a significant fleet of cars: a Nissan Qashqai (2013), a Honda M-NV (2023) for 617 thousand hryvnias, and a Renault Scenic (2006) for 20 thousand hryvnias.
The family also owns significant amounts of real estate. In 2016, they purchased two land plots with an area of 1,000 m² and 26 m². In 2018, a store with an area of 466.5 m². In 2021, Kozachinsky declared an apartment with an area of 79.5 m² for 237 thousand UAH, as well as his father's apartment with an area of 64.4 m², purchased in 1996.
The financial income of the law enforcement officer in 2024 amounted to UAH 463.6 thousand in salary from the police and UAH 10 thousand in state support from the Ministry of Economy. The wife received UAH 10.3 thousand in social payments and UAH 3 thousand in “winter support”.
The family's additional income included income from property rental — UAH 77,000 — and the sale of movable property: UAH 65,000 from Serhiy Demekha and UAH 70,000 received by his wife from Olena Reshetnyk. The father, Andriy Kozachinsky, declared entrepreneurial income, but the amount was not specified.
While the family's official income remains moderate, the large assets and regular purchases of expensive property raise public questions about the sources of financing such expenses.
