The National Police of Ukraine has announced suspicion of fraud against the blogger and radical Vlad Sord, who became famous after participating in protests near the President's Office in March 2021 together with a group supporting Serhiy Sternenko.
According to reports from the National Police and the Prosecutor General's Office, in July 2022, Sord wrote on his page that he was able to purchase five foreign-made mortars with a total cost of about 3.5 million hryvnias. He justified the urgency and importance of the collection by the fact that they would help the military in the battles near Izyum.
As the National Police investigators found out, Sord kept a certain part of the funds for himself. We are talking about at least 350 thousand hryvnias, appropriated from the fees. This is evidenced by the movement of funds on his private card accounts, the data of which law enforcement officers obtained authorized access during the investigation.
The police found the perpetrator in Vinnytsia at his place of residence and announced that he was suspected of fraud committed during martial law.
Vlad Sord (Vladislav Hranecki-Stafijchuk) is an active participant of the Maidan, after its victory he went to welfare, but in 2017 he voluntarily left it and was accused of desertion. In 2018, he officially left the Armed Forces.
He became famous after participating in a rally in 2021 on Bankova in defense of Sternenko, which turned into a pogrom. Sord then broke the windows of the President's Office and received house arrest for it.
