The political scientist noted the ambitions and car fleet of judge Maryna Barsuk

Oleg Posternak, a well-known political scientist, drew attention to the ambitions and fleet of judge Maryna Barsuk in the context of recent changes in the Ukrainian judicial system. According to Posternak, the dismissal of Serhiy Smirnov, who oversaw the judicial system in the Office of the President, caused the beginning of the process of personnel changes in the leadership of the courts of Ukraine.

The political scientist announced this on his Facebook page.

"The races for positions have already begun, management positions can be headed by extremely ambiguous figures! In the coming weeks, tons of compromising material will be poured into the information space, investigations and materials will be published that will humiliate some and glorify other judges. The declarations of 2023 will become the main source of scandals and scandals!" - predicts Posternak.

"In particular, the judge of the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal Marina Barsuk is very eager to lead the judicial body in which she serves. The appointment of Maryna Barsuk will be very appropriate for her husband, lawyer Viktor Barsuk, who is ready to spend well on his wife's career growth. Marina and her husband live a beautiful, luxurious life. In her declaration, Marina Barsuk did not declare any real estate, but reported on hundreds of thousands of joint savings with her husband in euros, Swiss francs and hryvnias. The declared fleet of elite cars MERCEDES-BENZ S580/2021, G63AMG/2019, S600/2009, EQV/2021, which can be used by Marina Barsuk, stands out," Oleg Posternak suggests, according to the publicly available declarations of the judges for 2023.

The most notable scandal Marina Barsuk got into was her joint trip with her husband to the birthday of oligarch Pavel Fuchs in the 21st year, the expert emphasizes.

"It is significant that at that time Fuchs' companies had lawsuits in the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal, where Marina Barsuk works. Viktor Barsuk represented the interests of Fuchs in court. These are not the first such circumstances de jure. Barsuk's company won in court, where his wife works. Such an episode was also the scandal with the court regarding the Poltava GZK, where Barsuk acted in the interests of Kolomoisky and the Russian criminal and financial group Babakov. The Barsuk family does not see any conflicts of interest in this," Oleg Posternak said, calling on the public to engage in a public discussion as the only constructive mechanism that would make it possible to clean up the Ukrainian judicial system and prevent the career growth of judges exposed in corrupt practices.
