The wife of the deputy head of the Poltava OVA Maksym Kalinin, Iryna, declared almost 6 million hryvnias of income for the second half of 2024. Journalists from MediaDokaz found out that she received these funds for renting rooms in the Gluhoman hotel complex near Poltava. At the same time, Iryna Kalinina herself does not own real estate in the complex and does not rent rooms there.
The Gluhoman complex is located in Nyzhni Mlyn and includes two hotels, wooden houses and an aqua park. The cost of accommodation in rooms is from 2000 to 3500 UAH per night. The co-owner of the complex is Vladislav Rudenko, former head of the regional department for combating organized crime and former deputy of the Poltava regional council.
Iryna Kalinina registered an individual entrepreneur in May 2024. Before that, she worked as a chief specialist in the education department of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration and received social benefits. Within seven months after registering the individual entrepreneur, she received UAH 5.8 million in profit from hotel activities and the provision of temporary accommodation services. She is not listed in the documents as the owner or tenant of the complex's real estate.
Journalists note that the phone number that Iryna indicated when registering the individual entrepreneur coincides with the contact details of LLC "Restaurant Glukhoman" and LLC "Hotel Aquapark Glukhoman". The same number was used by the individual entrepreneur Alena Rudenko, the wife of Vladislav Rudenko's brother. There are joint photos of Iryna Kalinina and Alena Rudenko on social networks during their vacation.
Maksym Kalinin stated in his comments that his wife is engaged in entrepreneurial activities and pays taxes, so he does not see any violations. Earlier, journalists recorded that Kalinin ignored requests regarding possible corruption schemes, in particular regarding changing public transport routes in Poltava and signing direct contracts without tenders. In a response from the press service of the Poltava OVA, he denied all the accusations of the former head of the infrastructure department, Tetyana Kostenko, noting that the organization of passenger transportation belongs to the executive committee of the Poltava City Council, and not to OVA officials, and that all procurement procedures were carried out in accordance with the law.
