More than 3.9 million Ukrainians have become ill for SARS for epidemic

Over the last week, more than 132 thousand people became ill with acute respiratory viral infections (SARS). This is 15.3% less than a week earlier, reports the MOH Public Health Center. However, the flu continues to circulate actively, and in several regions there is an excess of the epidemic threshold.

According to official data, from March 31 to April 6 SARS were diagnosed in 132,903 Ukrainians, of whom more than half were children (71 911 cases). Despite the general trend towards reduction, influenza viruses are circulated in 72% of regions.

During the reporting week, three fatal cases of influenza were registered - all three dead had no vaccination. This reaffirms the importance of vaccination, the CGZ emphasizes.

As for Covid-19, 164 cases were found last week. No fatal case has not been registered as a result of coronavirus.

The most intense situation is in Zhytomyr, Lviv, Ternopil and Cherkasy regions. There, the incidence rate exceeded the epidemic threshold of low level. In other regions, including Kiev, there is a pre -epidemic situation.

Since the beginning of the epidemic (September 30, 2024), more than 3.9 million people have already had in Ukraine. This is about 11% of the population. During this period, 185 deaths related to influenza and SARS were recorded.
