In the system of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a large -scale corruption scheme, organized by officials of the State Special Transport Service, is exposed. The investigation found that officials artificially created the conditions for winning the company tenders with a predetermined beneficiary. According to the investigation, this firm supplied the products at inflated prices - more than UAH 64 million more expensive than other procurement participants offered.
The key involved in the case is the head of the department of logistics management of the State Special Transport Administration, who, according to investigators, coordinated the scheme. The losses of the state can be significantly larger, as this structure has been supplied to more than 17 military units throughout the country.
During the searches from the person involved in the case, law enforcement officers seized cash in different currency for a total amount of more than UAH 105 million, as well as documentation confirming the artificial lowering of competitiveness in tenders and agreeing the conditions with a predetermined winner.
Anti -corruption bodies are already preparing suspicions, probably several officials. The investigation is ongoing, and it is possible that other representatives of state structures were involved in the scheme.
