On the night of September 22, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine with the help of drones, as a result of which a residential building was damaged in Khmelnytskyi. Serhii Tyurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration, announced this.
"Tonight, during the "Air Alert" signal, our air defense forces destroyed eight Shahed drones. However, a residential building was damaged in the city of Khmelnytskyi as a result of the attack," Tyurin said.
Despite the damage, fortunately there were no casualties. All emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and are currently dealing with the consequences of the attack.
Experts are assessing the extent of the damage. Not only the residential building was damaged, but also the infrastructure in the surrounding areas.
This attack is another confirmation of the continuation of Russia's aggressive actions against Ukraine, aimed at the civilian population. Ukrainian air defense forces continue to hold the defense and successfully destroy enemy drones, including Shahed, which are increasingly used in night attacks.
