Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) exposed a large -scale corruption scheme when issuing a hunter's certificates. The illegal mechanism operated in the Southern Interregional Directorate of Forestry and Hunting of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine.
Officials began "earning" in early 2024. In particular, the head of the Interregional Administration in conspiracy with their deputy and another subordinate in Odessa "on the stream" of the fees from those who want to pass the exam and receive a hunter's certificate, which allowed to hunt.
The officials forced the subordinates - members of the Examination Commission to take a "fee" from those who wanted to receive the hunter's certificate for a positive exam. In case of refusal, they threatened to be dismissed. They divided the money from each other.
According to operational data, during the period of the scheme, officials made at least one million hryvnias at the issuance of 500 hunting certificates.
On February 6, 2025, the DBR detained the dealers during the distribution of 30 thousand hryvnias, obtained for "positive estimates".
