Law enforcement officers exposed a large -scale scheme of falsification in the ranks of the Armed Forces in Volyn: two commanders of battalions and two chiefs of staff of one of the military units appear in the case of illegal accrual of cash security to a serviceman who actually failed to perform his duties.
According to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western Region on July 18, officials in July 2024 - April 2025 systematically forged documents. In particular, the combat orders and reports included false data on the participation of one of the military in combat missions in Kharkiv region.
On the basis of these falsifications, the soldier was illegally accrued more than UAH 1 million in the form of cash, bonuses and combat surcharges. In fact, the specified serviceman not only did not participate in the battles, but also did not in the place of deployment of the part.
Four suspected officials were notified of suspicion of abuse of office committed by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to six years with a possible deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions.
The pre -trial investigation is currently underway, and the final amount of losses caused to the state as a result of the actions of the persons persons is set.
